MP Irene Ng visits Sam Leong's grave this morning

Irene Ng:

joined the tour of Bukit Brown cemetery this morning with my husband. Thanks Raymond Goh and Charles, and also Hang Chong for an informative walk. Chatted to some people in the group and enjoyed their convivial company. Learnt about the history of some of our pioneers, including the Straits Chinese merchant, Ong Sam Leong (1857-1918) - his grand grave seen here. This family tomb is flanked by statues of Sikh guards and Chinese lions standing watch over the graves.
