Most unglamorous modelling slip-ups

Perfect hair, expensive gowns and drop-dead gorgeous models, but no matter how high-fashion the brand is, all it takes is one slip-up (literally) on the runway for the show to become a disaster.

As audiences admire the poise of the models strutting the works of well-known designers, the models stand up to the challenge of making their catwalk look effortlessly elegant.

However, there are occasions where a certain pair of heels may be a tad bit too high for a model to handle, causing her to fall unceremoniously mid-walk.

Potholes and water elements have also proven to be fatal for some models who lose their balance while making that crucial turn on the the runway.

Here is a compilation of the most unglamorous moments of models falling on the runway of some of the biggest fashion shows, including those of Donatella Versace, Oscar de la Renta and Zac Posen.
