据俄新社9日报道，谈及中国外交部发言人华春莹当天就美方涉港恶劣言论做出的相关表态，俄外交部发言人扎哈罗娃说，“我们听闻中国发出声明，指责美国等西方国家情报机构代表干涉中国内政。（他们）不仅仅是在理论上对全世界进行干涉，还具体地参与了那些我们看到的香港骚乱，参与了这些骚乱背后的组织。”
扎哈罗娃补充说，俄方对此“严正看待”，并有意同中国就此进行讨论。

接着，扎哈罗娃进一步谈及美国，直指美国“因无法接受俄中关系蒸蒸日上，所以想要通过干涉中国内政的方式对其（中国）产生破坏性影响”。
她说，“美国不愿为赢得其他国际关系参与者的尊重做出一点儿努力。他们为了实现自己的利益，专门制定了一些计划，设定了一些目标，与此同时，对国际关系中其他参与者（的利益）漠不关心”。
随后，扎哈罗娃话锋一转，提到了俄罗斯与中国。
“大家都看到了，俄中两国（关系）正以什么样的速度发展，又在哪些领域取得了进展”，扎哈罗娃说，“在我看来，他们（美国）就是不喜欢（看到这一幕）”，扎哈罗娃补充说，“俄中树立的（大国关系）典范深深地刺痛了他们。”
外交部发言人华春莹9日就美方涉港恶劣言论答记者问时表示，美方频频插手香港事务，必然引起包括香港同胞在内的中国人民的坚决反对和强烈愤慨。
华春莹强调，香港是中国的香港。中国的民心不可辱、民意不可欺。我们敦促美方遵守国际法和国际关系基本准则，立即停止插手香港事务，立即停止干涉中国内政。
