Parents throwing caution to the wind on the road

I REFER to Mr Gordon Yeo's letter last Friday, 'Policing roads: Has policy changed?' I concur with him that we now rarely see Traffic Police officers patrolling the roads.
I often see toddlers on the laps of adults in the front seat of cars without seat belts.
I recall years ago when the authorities introduced rules for toddlers to be secured in child seats or children at a certain age on booster seats. They would also be secured with seat belts.
What happened to these rules?
I urge the authorities to review the road safety enforcement policy before it is too late.

IMO now, the people in the police force are gradually feeling the heat from the ever increasing standards of living and their meagre salaries.

mentality is: why bother about doing your job well when you are not well paid and living standards is extremely high. WHY BOTHER AT ALL? just fuck the thing, take your salary and go home. FUCK THE REST.
