NEW DELHI: Singapore Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew, who is on an official four-day visit to India, met Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday.

The two leaders had a candid and warm meeting at a luncheon hosted by Dr Singh at his residence.

They discussed regional developments and global issues, and how the two countries could further enhance their bilateral relations.

Earlier Tuesday, Mr Lee met Indian External Affairs Minister, S.M. Krishna. They held a brief discussion on regional affairs and issues of mutual interest.

Mr Lee is scheduled to meet India's strategic thinkers and businessmen on Wednesday as he participates in a dialogue session at the Singapore Symposium being held in New Delhi.

Mr Lee last visited New Delhi in December 2007.

Manmohan Singh is paying homage to LKY as a visionary leader who can see past creed and color when times are desperate, of course. LKY knows down to the tee the shortcomings of the Chinks and the high number of Indian nationals now having displaced the corrupt Ah Bengs and are now holding key banking positions. Most of the credit have to be fully credited to the vision of LKY and Singh knows it very well. LKY knows very well the penchant for Chink corruption. Why else would he opt for Gurkha guards?
