hurley never knew Miss Tourism International Singapore pageant exists!
It's all happening very fast for 18-year-old Miss Tourism International Singapore Amanda Leong...
"Since I was the runner-up in Miss Universe Singapore last year, I started modelling and got involved in this current Miss Tourism International pageant which is very exciting," says the first-year psychology student.
Amanda has been doing very well at The Miss Tourism International pageant, so far.
She has already won two subsidiary titles - Miss Sunway Charm and more recently , the Miss Overtime Fresh Face at the Overtime Pub and Bistro, Setapak.
"This is so amazing. I never excepted to win one title, let alone two," she gushes.
50-over participants took part at the Miss Overtime Fresh Face - one round wearing casual T -shirt and jeans, the other in evening cocktail dresses.
The beer-drinking crowd cheered as they paraded their dresses.
Miss Tourism International Estonia, Sandra von Daskova, who also got a lot of cheers from the crowd, says she is enjoying the the whole experience.
"Malaysia has warm weather and people and lots if nice buildings," says the 20-year old who wants to be a pilot!
Why a pilot?
"I just love heights and a great view," she says.
The final of Miss Tourism International 2011 will be held on New Year's Eve at Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa.
Initiated in 1994 by D'Touch International, the Miss Tourism International title is now franchised to more than 80 countries and has seen more than 500 Miss Tourism contestants from around the world participating in the event.
