Misinformed Uncles in Koufu Coffeeshop

This morning I went to buy breakfast and I overheard a group of uncles discussing about GST increase to 10%.

One of the uncles was very confident and said that he supports government move because without GST, government will not be able to return our cpf money to us.
surprisingly a few uncles agreed with him.

Is that true? increase GST so that we can receive our CPF at 55yo ?

You should have interjected and asked the uncle if he was suggesting that the government had squandered our CPF and therefore needed to recoup money from a separate source called GST ? Tell him even though he seems to support the government policy, he will be sued for his defamatory interpretation of the government policy.

As uncle, he should stick to what he is accustomed to - sianz beer aunties - and not try to give intellectual talks in kopitiam which he is wholly incapable.
