Mischief by fire suspects nabbed

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested seven male youths, aged 13 to 15 years, for suspected involvement in five cases of mischief by fire.
The incidents took place in the vicinity of Henderson Road, Jalan Bukit Merah and Queen's Close.
Police were first notified on April 21 at about 1.02 am, of a case where discarded furniture was set on fire in the vicinity of Henderson Road.
The fire was put out by officers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
Through extensive enquiries by officers from the Clementi Police Division, the identities of the seven suspects were established.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the seven had set fire on discarded items and dustbins on other occasions.
Investigations against the suspects are ongoing.
If convicted, offenders can be jailed for a maximum of seven years and can also be fined.
