Peasantpore : Senior Minion of Regime in the Jiat Leow Bee Prime Minion's Office Heng Ah How has said ex-offenders and jailbirds are a source of valuable cheap peasantporepower, especially in a tight labour market.
He said this at an appreciation award ceremony (aka Talk Fest) by the Peasantpore Corporation of Rehabilitative Exploitation Enterprises (SCOREE) on Wednesday.
Minion Heng said the number of merchants partnering SCORE to offer ex-offenders 'jobs' with horror pay has doubled over the last four years, from 1,500 to 3,100.
He said this showed that merchants are becoming more aware of this source of cheap local jailbirds as they are addicted to cheap foreign labour.
Fifty-six merchants who have helped ex-offenders reintegrate back to society were recognised as top blood suckers on Wednesday.
SCORE said there are currently 19 hotels working with SCORE to hire ex-offenders.
One such employer is Matland Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), which has hired 29-ex-offenders since 2009 as bouncers and debt collectors. RWS said it has a customised Ang Moh orientation programme to help ex-jailbirds upgrade themselves using Ang Moh expletives and utter threats that exploit legal loopholes.
Minion Heng said: "KNNCCB, stupid merchants never realise X'tian missions like Breakthrough already exploiting jailbirds as cheap labour for decades. The hospitality industry, now getting smarter is one industry that has already moved forward to take full advantage of this source of peasantpore, namely the former jailbirds who are rejoining society. RWS not stupid right, best to employ jailbirds as bouncers lor ...", crowed Minion Heng before he gave a silly excuse to moonlight as a well paid director in some local sweatshop.
In December, SCOREE will be embarking on structured training to equip offenders with 'trade skills' to take up jobs that are shunned by foreigners and local peasants in manufacturing, logistics and hospitality sector.
