Interesting observation. Given the national trait of selfishness, you wonder what would happen in an actual conflict situation.

I have a better solution: desert.

Let the military leaders fight the war themselves.

The hospital had to appeal to the public to donate blood for the injured Navyman.
No initiative from the military side.

Hospitals in Singapore both public and private handle numerous operations all year round. Blood transfusion is part and parcel of these operations and thousands of litres are used. They are not going to run out supply escpecially type O which is the most common. Trauma cases seen at A&E where loss of blood is a daily affair.

All it takes is an overly excited friend or relative and suddenly its a massive crisis. Couple of years ago, one excited lady put out an appeal on the internet and her passionate plea suggesting that blood supply was running out was a step too far. The thing went viral.

Blood donations are daily occurence as well and the stocks are well managed. The issue arises when its is a rare blood type.

I read from somewhere that a pack of donated blood is sold for over $400 to the patient in our public hospitals.

When we donate, we want to help local singaporeans, and how sure are you that your blood will be used for local Singaporeans.

While singaporeans are encouraged to donate & donate, the regime is making obscene amount of money from our donations.

Please wake up, never donate anything in Singapore, not even your cock hair!

Hi Sis

If the blood bank can guarantee the following, I'm sure a lot of bro & sis here will gladly donate their blood:

1) Blood bank must guarantee the my donated blood only goes to local Singaporeans.

2) The patient receiving my blood will not be charged a single cent.

Give me this assurance and I'll donate my blood!

Next time donate blood can also tell them - my blood is free but you must pay me for poking in the needle and extracting it.

I believe that all donated blood has to go for screening to ensure it is clean and not tainted by disease. The blood is then stored before being used. The costs therefore involves drawing the blood, screening it, and storage. I don't have any issues with that.
