If want to practice...best place is in at home in Singapore where the terrain is familiar as and when required to defend our country.

There are several reasons for this. Once upon a time, all company level drops were done at Changi Airbase. At that time, Changi aribase was not very busy, before Changi airport was build. It was used for training, and for transport. You can clear all air traffic around it and fly the C-130 in and drop the whole stick on the runway. Used to see them do that all the time. In fact, Hsien Yang got his jump wings at Changi airbase with his cohort. Now with the airport so near and so busy, and even if they use Tengah, they have to close the base down with the most jet fighters on it, its not really feasible, especially at night too where the sinkieland light pollution is the worse. SO, go overseas for training lah. This was probably a battalion size night jump in ROC.
