While Wall St tumbles and the US economy goes into an uncontrolled tailspin, Singaporeans remain confident and our economy resilient.

While panic ensues in the US financial markets, we held the most successful $150M F1 race of the year. Our property market did not take any big hits, and there were no long lines rushing to take their savings from the bank.

This is the proof of why our most highly paid cabinet has justified their value. Proof of how you get monkeys when you pay peanuts..as with the US administration.

If the head honchos of Lehman Bros, Bear Stearns and the likes were based in Singapore, they would all be put under ISA detention instead of being allowed to retire and enjoy their $$billions in ill gotten gains.

Our bank deposits are safe because MAS has got our local banks by the balls and make them guarantee our money in their accounts.

We are not completely insulated from the shockwaves of international financial crises, but our foundations are as strong as they can ever be...thanks to our million dollar policy makers.

About time the naysayers and doubters wash their dirty mouths and prepare to kiss some arses in profound gratitude.

every single economy resilient face by the whole world, somehow SG keep reporting tt we are not affected... isn't it the least fishy? lolx, is SGP really tt good? or is this all a fake screen?

My bet is. We are all paying more than extra since day one. in order to enjoy this "show" stage by our beloved GOV
