They have risen by over 30% in this one year.
At that time the importers and super marts argued and justified that most of these items were from Australia and that the Aussie dollar had appreciated by over 30%.
Now the Aussie dollar is down by 30%..so the question is...where is the proportionate reduction in prices.?
The prices are still the same in the markets. They have not reduced anything.
