Master of the Sea is a classic. VR Man is a joke.
Give you a clue...
Dang dang dang dang 傲气面对万重浪
热血像那红日光
胆似铁打骨如精钢
胸襟百千丈眼光万里长
我发奋图强做好汉
做个好汉子每天要自强
热血男儿汉比太阳更光
I watched this show no less than 7 times over the past 10 years on channel 8.

to boast viewership, remake channel 5 classics like master of the sea and vr man.
Sometimes I remote surf pass Channel 5 and you know what? Pinoy series! My goodness!
Yeah, they were (are still?) showing this Pinoy drama:
I guess the Pinoy population in Sinkieland has breached a threshold that makes it commercially viable to air the show.
When there is demand, there will be supply.
It won't be long before cricket becomes Singapore's next 'national sport'.

How not for the viewership to decline. You see the damn irritating Tay Ping Hui on practically every show on Ch 8 and Ch 5. Just imagine, even for the inaugural F1 race in 2008 that Ch 5 covered "live", Mediacorp used him as a racing expert to provide commentary and analysis. What the fxxk he knows about F1??!!! He appears on all charity shows and even as a judge for a talent show. Mediacorp is just about to use him to read the news soon I believe.
even any canto period drama from 30 years ago....still beat mediacorpse current serials hands down
