I agree with all who say MDA's efforts are a waste of time and a waste of taxpayer's money.
But the fundamental thing is.. they really have nothing else better to do!! What else can they do to justify the millions that goes into their spending?
It is ridiculous to try to ban anything on the internet nowadays.. we all know that. Once it is ON the internet.. it will come up somewhere, somehow.. you just have to try to locate it.. and "voila".. it's there. As long as someone has it.. and willing to put it up.. upon request.. or just for fun.. it will be THERE!!
Last time Playboy, Penthouse websites were blocked.. I think still so now.. but.. what replaced them were more hardcore stuff.. more erotic and everyday.. new sites emerge.. how to keep up this relentless "war"? But is anyone tell MDA to stop?
I really think it is high time we seriously look at making pornography legal and with a age restriction.. like in most developed countries, eg USA, UK, Japan, HK, South Korea.. even Thailand and Taiwan... what's the big deal of not letting ADULTS have some fun??
Are we so prudish and bluffing people that we are "conservative" when we already have red-light districts.. famous "fun" places in Orchard and Changi Village for the not so straight ppl? Now even gays are getting more attention.. so why not legalize porn?
It can be another avenue for the pappies to get taxes too.. it is time.. let the ADULTS really live an ADULT life.. and not be frigging hypocritical about it and hide at home to view porn on dvds, vcds or on the internet... want more babies.. legalize porn.. it could make couples more horny and procreate more.
