When I was in Las Vegas I notice that the food & drinks was very cheap because the various casinos want to attract people into the casinos.
Spore must be using a different formula, the pay & pay formula
Las Vegas is a whole new different story. They have a fashion show, an artificial volcano, white tiger handlers Sigfried and Roy and an amusement park to boot. Yeah the food is pretty good too, and so are the arcades. And yup, together with the hotels they are all pretty decent.
Maybe the powers that be decided that gambling does pay. A lot. Hahahaha.
Yeah and there are two words in plain English to describe such common urban phenomena: "No Life".
Gambling is not totally a great thing to get into, and even if you jump in the least you could do for yourself is to try and have some fun. It is not something that people are supposed to actually take so seriously.
That's a real turnoff I've been blessed to experience a few times before. But if it happened in a casino like you guys said then it goes without saying your esteem of the place will be irredeemably lowered.
Vegas has many family oriented attractions. I enjoyed the Factory outlets offering cheap branded products, the circus acts at the casino Circus Circus. Many performers like Anita Sarawak perform there regularly. You can even rent a dream exotic car .
Yes everyone knows it's a very commercialised place but it does provide value for every budget from the low to the super rich.
However in Spore you only got high prices without the value. Something the money minded PAP is well known for. When word spreads most of the tourists will skip Spore.
Anyone who's been to Las Vegas (or any Nevada casino town like Reno or Tahoe) knows, food is cheap and good. Budget rate nice rooms are aplenty. Shopping prices are never marked up, mostly discounted sale prices.
How do they do that? The casino landlords offer them very low rentals to create and sustain town biz and buzz activities to attract regular gamblers and occasional gamblers alike as many as possible. Naturally, from the sheer numbers, the casino business volume goes up. That's the idea.
