Wow! Why Maguire do that? Is he stupid? Maybe he is color blind.

Shaw must say MINE! Or clear! Loudly.

Maguire will come good. ManU did not pay £80m if they not think he was worth that much.
Macguire doesn't trust Shaw. He's been made to cover Shaw on the left or Lindelof/Baily on the right. It's been going on for the longest time. The coaching staff need to get these arseholes organized. Wan Bassika is the other weak point. Rashford and Greenwood have not been running back to help defenders when they lose the ball.

I think the system of play is bad.
When one loses ball , the player must track back and help with the defence.

It cannot be like a MNC style of play. One department handle one kind of thing. I am striker , you feed the ball to me. I will score. But if I lose the ball, you need to defend. I just take a slow walk back.

Either these talents are not real.
Or simply OLE is not good enough. This season will tell.
They need a left back, a central defender with a high work rate, a defensive midfielder to replace Matic or Fred. They didn't move for Alcantara which IMHO was a waste. He could have easily replace Pogba. Wasted!!!!

Yup, it's very UNmanunited. That was the way they played under SAF.

track simi lancheow? They are playing a high press. And their defenders are too slow. When a team like Spurs have fast wingers like SOn and people like Kane, Lo Celso, Lamela, Ndombele, who can pass them the ball and beat the offside trap how are you going to track back from midfield and outrun Son? Spurs speed was killing them in their third of the field. Spurs have 2 defenders, Aurier, and Regulion that are faster then everyone on the Manure team.

They player are paid way too much.
Pogba is way too overrated. He can't carry the team. Seems to me his teamates are letting him down.

They don't need those, they need to change their tactics.

Out of the 6 goals conceded, only one came from a fast break. Defensive errors and poor marking are the root causes of the heavy defeat. Spurs played with a higher tempo than the sleep walking opponents.

The fat cat players shd be ashamed to collect their wages, after the shambles display.
Especially after losing to Crystal Palace 2 weeks ago (at OT!) 1-3, escaped wth last gasp winner on injury vs Brighton.

OGS maybe a nice guy, but don't think he's got what it takes to change game and bring on to next level.

Not sure what OGS's assistants were doing. You would have thought they would rectify the keeper and back 4 weakness from the very first league game. Third league game and the same sloppy defending.
If things don't turn around in the next 4 games, Ed will remove him.

Man Utd sound out Mauricio Pochettino
with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's troubled reign in jeopardy

EXCLUSIVE: United chiefs are demanding a serious improvement in results from Solskjaer and they have already touched base with Pochettino's camp in case they have to move

Manchester United have sounded out Mauricio Pochettino about him replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as boss.
Senior club figures have made contact with Pochettino's camp - and the Argentine is keen to make United his next job as he looks to get back into management.

Solskjaer appears to be on borrowed time at United following a woeful start to the new season that sank to a new low with Sunday's 6-1 home thrashing by Tottenham.
It is understood United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward is not prepared to sack the Norwegian in the current international break.
But he wants to see a dramatic improvement in performances and results when the Premier League season resumes.

If he doesn't then Woodward could pull the plug on Solskjaer's troubled reign during the next international break in November.

Man U gave away gifts to Spurs 'almost like Christmas' - Solskjaer

Woodward remains a huge admirer of Pochettino, who has been out of work since Spurs sacked him last November, just five months after he led them to the Champions League final.
Pochettino, 48, has turned down a host of jobs since leaving Spurs, including Barcelona twice, in favour of waiting for a club he believes is the right one for him.

Solskjaer preceded over one of United's lowest-ever days at the weekend
United fit the bill and Pochettino reckons he is up to the challenge of making the fallen giants the most successful club in England once again.
Woodward will be reluctant to axe Solskjaer due to the fact he is part of the club's history and retains a strong relationship with some of his players.
But he fears he might be left with no choice if the team's decline becomes more serious.

United are languishing in 16th place in the table following three points from their three league games - and have lost their first two home games of a league campaign for just the fifth time in the club's history.
Woodward sacked David Moyes after just ten months, while Jose Mourinho was bulleted in December, 2018 after club bosses had failed to back him in the previous transfer window.
With Pochettino available for nothing Woodward could now decide to act and appoint someone who would be hugely popular with increasingly disgruntled fans.

Queen's Birthday Honours: Marcus Rashford becomes MBE
https://www.bbc.com/sport/54476721

Marcus Rashford said he felt "honoured" to be given an MBE

England and Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has become an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
The footballer, 22, campaigned for the government to allow about 1.3 million children to claim free school meal vouchers in England's summer holidays during the coronavirus pandemic.

Rashford, who has asked Prime Minister Boris Johnson to extend that scheme, said the MBE was a "nice moment".

Great North Run founder Brendan Foster has received a knighthood.
A Commonwealth Games 10,000m champion, Foster competed at three Olympics for Great Britain before beginning a commentary career in 1980.
He founded the Great North Run - the UK's biggest running event in terms of participation - the following year, and went on to cover nine summer Olympic Games for the BBC, retiring from commentary in 2017.
In rugby union, former Wales head coach Warren Gatland and Gareth Thomas - who played for the country in both union and league - have become CBEs, while Alun Wyn Jones, the team's current captain, has been appointed an OBE.

Three-time British Olympic curler Eve Muirhead, of Scotland, has become an MBE, along with England's 12-time women's world snooker champion Reanne Evans and former England cricketer Darren Gough.
Although not a sporting honour, Port Vale co-owner and chair Carol Shanahan was awarded an OBE for services to the community in Stoke-on-Trent for her work which - like Rashford's - helps to keep children fed.
She is the founder and trustee of the Hubb Foundation, a charity which supports children and their families with food and activities during school holidays.

The Queen's Birthday Honours list was originally scheduled to be published in June, but it was postponed by the prime minister to allow nominations of people who played crucial roles during the first months of the coronavirus pandemic.

Rashford request to prime minister
After a coronavirus lockdown was imposed in the UK in March, the government provided vouchers to families whose children qualify for free meals, but it had insisted this would not continue into the summer holidays.
This prompted Rashford to write an open letter to MPs, drawing on his own experiences of relying on free school meals and food banks while growing up in Wythenshawe, Manchester. He called on the government to reverse its decision - which it did shortly after he spoke out.

That enabled about 1.3m children in England to claim vouchers over the holidays, with the support working out at about £15 a week for each child.
Rashford continued his campaign by establishing a taskforce with some of the UK's biggest food brands to try to help reduce child food poverty.
He wants politicians to go further to tackle hunger in families.

Speaking to BBC Breakfast about being made an MBE, Rashford said: "It's a nice moment for me personally but I feel like I'm still at the beginning of the journey that I set out to try to achieve.
"I think what I would like to do now that I'm in this position is just speak directly to the prime minister and really ask for the vouchers to be extended until at least October half-term because I think that's what the families need.
"Speaking to them and knowing how much they've been helped, and how much it's going to affect them if they don't have it, that's got to be my main focus now - to get that message across."

Doesn't matter who's the manager at Man United. The job is a poisoned chalice. Even Klopp or Pep wouldn't be able to accomplish anything there.

Managers who take the Man United job are: 1) padding their managerial CV, 2) making a quick cash grab.

Man Utd have Mauricio Pochettino alternative if Ed Woodward
sacks Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Max Allegri could be considered by Manchester United as an alternative to Mauricio Pochettino if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is sacked.

Max Allegri would be a managerial candidate for Manchester United as an alternative to Mauricio Pochettino if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is sacked. The Norwegian's future is the subject of speculation once again after a tough start to the Premier League season.

After losing their opening game 3-1 at home to Crystal Palace, United crashed to a catastrophic 6-1 Old Trafford loss to Tottenham before the international break.
They won their sole top-flight match sandwiched between those defeats but only narrowly with an extremely late penalty giving them a 3-2 win over Brighton, who hit the woodwork five times.

The Red Devils' defence has been particularly suspect despite Solskjaer spending £80million on Harry Maguire and £50m on Aaron Wan-Bissaka a year ago.

And it is the world's worst-kept secret that former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is admired by the United hierarchy.
The Argentine, who also worked in the Premier League at Southampton, has been out of a job for nearly 12 months after being surprisingly sacked by Spurs.
Yet his achievements with the north London club included four straight top-four finishes - with their second place in 2016-17 their best campaign since 1962-63 - and taking them to the Champions League final for the first time in their history.

However, despite the long-standing interest in Pochettino's services, Duncan Castles of the Transfer Window Podcast says he is not the only coach who would be in the frame to replace Solskjaer.
Pochettino is also liked by Manchester City, it has been claimed, with Pep Guardiola's current Etihad contract expiring at the end of this season.

Poch will not go to Manure. He has a big ego, and there cannot be any ego bigger then his in the dressing room. Manure is full of other big egos. OGS has no ego and he made the mistake of the letting the big egos in his dressing room run the show. Poch will go in an immediately clash with them. He will have to get rid of many players and suffer a few seasons of poor performances. Further more, he knows his training methods are very unpopular with players. When he got ot Spurs, many players like Kaboul resisted and were moved out. He knows the Glazers are not going to be that patient with him.
