Ronaldo is now best as goal poacher, not complete forward or inside forward. he is a great goalscorer and should just focus on scoring goals, let others do the defending / pressing / run the channels. he is now getting too old to do too much.
If you look at the games that he scored we never keep a clean sheet. Just because the team is distorted to suit his play. Rather than having a team who is a threat it is now whole team supporting him so that he can score.
When ibrahimovic joined we did not alter the gameplay that much to suit him. Man U don’t do well whenever we alter to suit a player. Remember Moyes love to pump high ball for Fellaini effect limited. Unless it’s a desperate roll of dice chasing a game yes.
Ronaldo is good but he will need to alter to suit the team not the other way round.
