A 54-YEAR-OLD man suspected to be involved in loanshark harrassment was arrested on Thursday afternoon in Bukit Panjang.
He allegedly chained up the gates of debtors' units and scrawled loan-shark related graffiti on their walls.
He is suspected to have terrorised debtors in Serangoon, Sengkang, Bukit Batok, and Bukit Panjang.
If he is convicted for loanshark harassment, he faces a maximum penalty of five years in jail, a fine of $50,000 and up to six strokes of the cane.
