Man suspected of thefts at NUS caught
THE police have nabbed a 51-year-old man suspected of being responsible for at least three thefts at the National University of Singapore.
He had allegedly committed the crimes on the Bukit Timah and Kent Ridge campuses since last month.
He is believed to have swiped various items left unattended, including a mobile phone, wallets, $120 in cash, bank cards and other personal documents.
Investigators from the Clementi Police Division managed to establish a profile of the suspect from closed-circuit television security cameras.
Officers from the Clementi and Tanglin Police Divisions spotted the suspect along Bukit Timah Road on Tuesday morning.
The stolen items were recovered.
