I don't think this requires bravery. I would say a kind hearted unnamed construction worker.

had to go down to raging waters in that backhoe to grab dog. momentum and weight of dog could have pulled him into water too. must have 69% courage 16.9% grit 6.9% luck and another 6.9% arm strength and power. not easy to grab a slippery dog squatting down in a tight space when dog is not wearing a harness. can easily lose balance especially on a slippery backhoe.

i’ve seen ah nehs rescue animals too, including a baby elephant. tiongs are most hopeless when it cums to animal rescue followed by hongkies, sinkies, taiwanese, viets in that order.

dog was upside down lah when he tried to pull it out of water. that was harder than rightside up where he could grab belly between legs. i believe he pulled on the dog’s (thin long) hair or harness (not clear with the muddy water). without the hair or harness it’s slip and slide.

it takes an experienced dog owner to deal with and handle dogs. if you have never handled a dog better not to comment on dog handling. in this case it’s tougher than that. it’s rescue in a hazardous and fluid situation. the more you comment the more embarassing it gets.
