Man plunges to death

<!-- end left side bar --> <!-- story content : start --> A MAN, who was caught red-handed after he broke into a Telok Blangah flat on Friday, fell five floors to his death when he tried to escape from the kitchen window. The body of Mr Sahlan Eksan, 42, was found at the foot of Block 34, Telok Blangah Way, at about 12.30pm. When contacted on Friday, a police spokesman said that they received a call at about 12.10pm that a man had been seen behaving suspiciously outside a fifth-floor unit at the block. It turned out that Mr Sahlan had broken into the apartment from the window facing the common corridor. The spokesman said that officers arriving at the scene shortly after found the man inside the apartment and had told him to come out. However, Mr Sahlan decided to move further into the kitchen.
