Man jailed for having sex with teen girl
A MAN was jailed for 12 months on Tuesday for having sex with a 14-year-old girl.
Leo Kong Meng, 49, unemployed, pleaded guilty to the offence at his flat in Yishun in February last year.
A district court heard that Leo, who was a casual acquaintance of the victim's mother, invited the girl, then a student, to his home after meeting her at a coffeeshop nearby.
He had unprotected sex with her in his room.
Late that month, her school counsellor made a police report that her student was having 'some problem'.
Leo could have been jailed for up to five years and fined up to $10,000.
