most probably he was drunk and made a fool of himself and fell over the ledge

So far, I don't see any indication of possible suicide. It's customary during wedding dinner that the bridegroom is toasted with brandy round after round. He might be trying get skyline view, some fresh air (and nicotine fix as well) but somehow his sense of balance still swerved by the excessive alcohol level and tipped over...to tragedy. A very likely scenario is that he felt an attack of nausea and by reflex tried to bend over ledge to vomit...but lost balance.

THE bridegroom who died hours after his wedding dinner was caught on the hotel's security camera making for the fire escape staircase on the floor of his suite.

Mr Vernon Leong, 31, was next seen scrambling through the Hilton Singapore's second floor, where there is a shopping arcade.

Mr Leong, co-owner of a shop in Sim Lim Square selling computer peripherals, fell to his death early Wednesday morning.

He had hosted his wedding dinner in the hotel's third-floor ballroom and adjourned with his bride and a company of friends to their 10th floor suite after 11pm.

But it seems that he left the suite at about 3am after the friends had left and his wife, Ms Kerin Peh, 27, was taking a shower. Eight minutes later, he lay face-up on the hotel driveway, dead from severe head and chest injuries.

Why was he scrambling for the fire exit while his wife was taking a shower?

This case is very mysterious.

Possible homicide amounting to murder. He was a businessman after all, you don't know how much debt he owed.

Creditors must have thought he could hold wedding at 5 star hotel but had no money to pay up.

The puzzling thing is why he was frantically searching for something (or someone)? Looks like a twilight zone mystery.

Don't think he was so much searching for someone or something as fleeing from someone.

The eye in the sky caught him "scrambling through the shopping arcade." Did it capture other persons as well?

He could be chasing after someone, but that would hardly be "scrambling". He seemed desperate and was probably trying to save himself in the minutes just before the fall.

If case not solve, his Ghost will remain around Hilton Hotel, I'm sorry for those who are getting married and staying in the same Hotel room of the dead groom.

The bride could hold the key to solving this mystery. Before she went to shower, did the groom say anything?

Did any guests say something to groom during the dinner?

Was his business in trouble?

Check his phone records on the days leading to his suicide.

Sounds like a chap I know. He will "scramble" to find fresh air to have a quick smoke before his wife finds out. This guy wanted a good drag that he rushed past the barriers without realising it. Somkers are like that - you will find them at rear entrance stairwell/ fire exit with the door open or the window open. In a hotel, you will try to find a place with open access such as balconey, atrium. His suite must be non-smoking as well.

They had just received the keys to their new flat in Punggol.

A colleague of Mr Leong's told Shin Min Daily that he was quite health conscious and exercised regularly. He said that he was very fit and after trying on the wedding suit, he stopped bodybuilding to maintain his figure.

The couple planned to head to the Philippines for their honeymoon on Thursday.

Ms Peh was seen crying and wailing when she first saw her husband's body.

Regarding that previous case were the groom overheard the conversation of other men who bonked his wife.........

Why the hell would the wife invite her previous partners?? She should have to common sense to cook up some excuse and not have them near her wedding.

I know this sounds callous but the wife is a rich woman now. She has a fully paid HDB flat and his insurance money. She is easily worthed close to 750k now.
