SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 29-year-old man for stealing from a worker's dormitory along Kian Teck Lane.
Police officers were alerted to a case of theft from a dormitory room on March 25 at 12.30pm. They interviewed a suspect and subsequently recovered items belonging to two victims: Two wallets containing close to $100 in cash and a mobile phone.
The suspect was placed under arrest. Preliminary investigations indicate that he had entered the dormitory room through an open window at 11am on the same day and stole from the victims.
He will be charged in court on March 27 for housebreaking and theft. If found guilty, he faces a jail term of between three and 10 years.
