MALAYSIAN Airlines flight en route to China is missing.

Both their search planes landed at the wrong airport in Perth yesterday. And they are search planes. I wonder if their ambassador in OZ going to blame another country just as the ambassador in KL did.

Now the PRC relatives are join to think the World is conspiring against them.

SEPANG, March 23 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian authorities engaged in the search-and-rescue (SAR) for a missing Malaysian airliner held a meeting today at the Sama-Sama Hotel, their last at the hotel before moving over to the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur.

The media centre at the Sama-Sama Hotel has also been relocated to the PWTC as the hotel has been booked by those involved in the Formula One race at the Sepang International Circuit next weekend.

Today's meeting at the Sama-Sama Hotel was attended by representatives of the relevant parties, including Malaysia Airlines (MAS), the Department of Civil Aviation, the Transport Ministry and the Armed Forces.

Maybe the Ah Tiong Airforce wanted to avoid landing at pearce as boring there,,they taking this trip as a holiday. 1 point I want to add, how come the planes are allowed to land at the international airport? the traffic controller should have just guided them and diverted the flight,....

My question is on his "enthusiasm" and not on whether Abbott has "done wrong" or "said something unexpected or uncalled for ".

The only cynicism in my question is whether he is truly concern with the fate of the plane or he is capitalizing on the event for his own publicity. The identity of the debris was unclear. Therefore, it is logical for a person of lower ranking to make the announcement. Having the PM to make the announcement is premature because it will lend weight to the credibility and heighten expectation for the debris to be part of the plane. Unless they already secretly know that they have found the real thing, otherwise it is funny to have the No. 1 man making the announcement but kept repeating the qualification that the finding may not be related to mh370.

It is normal interpretation that the rank of the officer making an announcement is an indication of the level of accuracy. It will be unfortunate if nothing is found in the end and both the PM and the country's credibility will be unnecessary adversely affected, all because of the over zealousness of 1 person.

As a leader of country entrusted with something that is of a WW concern, I am sure he has show a keenness and enthusiasm to help in anyway that he can.

The World is expecting answers and I suppose we like it or not its an opportunity for the. Australian and himself to show what they can do.

Transparency is something that they have to show to their constituents and their style of democracy calls for it. Their PM needs to show what he is doing. In contrast our PM will hide until the show is over as he has a history of doing it from Mas Selamat to the PRC strike.

I am still not sure what Abbott did wrong.

If you insist in changing the discussion to what, Abbott has done wrong, my answer is :

Officially he has done nothing wrong. If the debris is finally found to be that of mh370 there is also nothing wrong.

However, if nothing is found in the end, he has caused
1. disproportionate resources to be channelled to the S Indian Ocean
2. Diverted the attention of the search at other areas
3. Caused unnecessary stress to relatives of passengers

all because of the fact that the announcement was made by a PM.
