How Covid-19 vaccines dramatically reduce death rates​

Vaccines reduce the fatality rate among those in their 50s by 90 per cent.

The effects of Covid-19 on the vaccinated and the unvaccinated are unquestionably divergent, and Public Health England (PHE) has published new and revealing data. Vaccine effectiveness against symptomatic cases of coronavirus has been measured by PHE, and it shows how jabs dramatically reduce the fatality rate.

Unvaccinated individuals over the age of 80 with Covid are found to have a fatality rate of 121 for every 100,000 people. But for vaccinated individuals over the age of 80, the fatality rate is 36 for every 100,000 persons. This represents a cut to the fatality rate of 70 per cent.

Among those in their 30s, the fatality rate for Covid is reduced by 90 per cent for those who have been double-vaccinated. For those in their 40s and 50s, the reduction is 87 per cent and 90 per cent respectively. The data is clear – vaccines work.
