The Highland Towers collapse was a tragic event that occurred on 11 Dec 1993, involved the collapse of Block 1 of the Highland Towers condo in Selangor, Malaysia. The official cause was a landslide caused by heavy rain, but we all know that shoddy workmanship by contractors that cut corners was responsible. I wonder how many more buildings of inferior quality are standing all over Malaysia.
