福建成功实施全球首例5G远程外科手术

日前,在福州长乐区的中国联通东南研究院内,北京301医院肝胆胰肿瘤外科主任刘荣作为主刀医生,坐在机器人前,通过实时传送的高清视频画面,利用5G技术操纵机器人的机械臂,远程控制手术钳和电刀,为位于福州鼓楼区的福建医科大学孟超肝胆医院中的一只小猪,切除了一片肝小叶。整个手术持续了近1个小时,手术创面整齐,全程出血量极少。这只小猪在手术完成半小时后,逐渐从麻醉中苏醒,各项生命体征保持稳定,手术宣告成功。
据了解,这台手术由福建联通、北京301医院、福建医科大学孟超肝胆医院三方联合开展,手术两地相距约50公里。手术的成功实施,标志着全球首例在5G环境下进行的远程外科手术测试取得圆满成功,为今后5G远程外科手术的临床应用创造了条件。
远程手术对无线通信的延时、带宽、可靠性和安全性有极高的要求,核心是要保障信号实时互联互通。“5G技术大带宽、低延时、大联接的优势,与手术机器人相结合,可以实现信号实时互联互通,打破时间和空间的限制,给远程手术提供了可能。”福建医科大学孟超肝胆医院院长刘景丰说,此次手术的成功,说明了5G技术在远程医疗上是完全可行的。他表示,在不远的将来,5G技术将实现临床运用,还可能实现远程查房、远程B超等,让更多的优质医疗资源能迅速普及到偏远地区,让患者不出远门也能享受省级、国家级,甚至国际级专家的诊疗。
福建联通党委书记、总经理欧阳恩山认为,5G技术投入商用后,不仅可以应用在智慧医疗方面,还可以广泛应用于智慧工业、智慧交通、智慧城市、智慧教育等领域。
