Mah Bow Tan is a fisherman by trade!

"SDA candidate says he has written to the Housing and Development Board requesting for costing information.

But Mr Mah, who is leading the PAP team in Tampines GRC, says the SDA candidate is just 'fishing' for figures and he has asked the HDB not to entertain him."


I didnt know Mah Bow Tan is actually a fisherman by trade, as I thought all along he was our National Development Minister.

I read this from some forums and someone asked Mah Bow Tan for the actually cost and figures for the HDB flat. And Mr Mah said that the SDA candidate is fishing for figures.

How did Mah Bow Tan knows that he is fishing for figures unless Mr Mah himself was a fisherman in the past.

Mah forefathers where fishermen in a village in Hainan island and he have never lost his fishing skills past down from generations to generations.
Go near him and you can smell something fishy.

I think, was it the late JBJ or was it Chian ST, asked HDB some years ago, for HDB to publish their P&L or account books or something...:p

What was the excuse then?...I had forgotten, somone with 'elephant memory' enlighten!!

The HDB started in the 1960's, remember the slogan "Homes for the People"......is is still that? or it is now "Making Money From The People"?

Why all our statutaory bodies, is not able to be transparent..?? why talk about standards etc..when not one of them can be transparent to the public?

The PAP always hide many things from us(example Election date and etc), and yet they always wants us local Singaporeans to be transparent...

In the states..all government depts had to be transparent in all their expenditure...available online...WHY..those are tax payer monies..
so our gov should learn to do this ..as a first world nation...
