Size Matters!
Oops!
Get our fit right!
#StoriesFromTheGround
Size
L or XL?!
never mind lah
bigger, better mah hor?
“Last time I take M too small, now be safe, go 2 up, XL correct?”
“I so big, don’t need measure lah! XL!”
No folks!
Measuring
and getting the sizing right
matters for a better fit!
It’s a great mask - not just filters, but is viricidal and can kill the bacteria
To recap:
S is 99mm or smaller;
M is 100mm to 115mm;
L is 116mm to 125mm;
XL is 126mm or bigger.
Measured vertically from the eye level to the chin.
We have been noticing a trend of many overcompensating from the last round and going for XL, only to find it too big, and wanting to change later.
Sorry folks!
We can’t accept exchanges after collection due to hygiene reasons
So what can we do?
#ProTips
Measure it using the cutouts on the newspapers during the weekends, or visit mask.stayprepared.sg, or simply pop by any Community Clubs / Centres to have our Ambassadors help you to get a right measurement.
Alternatively, you can collect one mask for the family first, try it, and then collect the rest.
Our Service Ambassadors from Singapore Airlines have tried to model the L and XL masks, including funny shots of how an oversized mask can be like!
#StayMasked 4 will run till just before midnight on Sunday, 14 March.
There is still time to measure and collect.
Stay safe!
Pssst!
Btw, the part with the elastic gathers sits under the chin for a better seal, while the edge with the metal insert inside is meant to be pinched around the nose bridge for a better fit.
If we wear the mask upside down, it won’t for well.
To wear:
Loop the loops over the ears;
Pinch the metal strip section over the nose bridge for a good fit;
Pull the elastic bottom under rhe chin;
Adjust the ear loops to fit the sides by either tightening the top edge over the ears, or tightenjng the chin-jaw edge under the ears.
If we find the material too soft, we can add a 3D mask frame to create a better air pocket for better breathability.
Some ladies use the 3D mask frame to hold their 3D mask in shape, so that their masks don’t mess up their lipstick!
