m1 Broadband on mobile's 21mbps speed.

If mobile is better than cable/ADSL I'm willing to go wireless.

However my understanding is that using a physical cable should be faster, right?

well yeah cable should be faster after all the max speed of bbom is 7.2.

Maybe u should try bbom. Buy prepaid cards.

I have never used m1 or starhub before but i bought their prepaid cards and that's how i found out that m1 is so fast for me. Never been d/c by m1 or other connections too even though it's mobile bb.

For speed poor Singaporeans have to still await for fibre-to-home which is measured by GBPS. The other (real) 1st world people already used it for years in Japan US Korea EU & Taiwan.

Singapore is only now starting to pull fibres under the streets.

Hi

For home, I am using SingNet... so far quite reliable. Wife also trade.. with local live data...
what is eSignal... the data for what market?

However, do not expect StinkTel service to be good....
so far the service for M1 is better - they response to your problems and call u back and offer "offset" for all the trouble.......

Looks like I'm not alone in the quest for stable connection :)

Esignal collects & sells real time streaming data from all the major markets Asia, US, Europe. etc.. From stocks, forex, ETFs,.... You can even get the market info for SGX .

http://www.esignal.com/

They charge a monthly subsription depending on how many markets you want to track & what instruments you are trading.

You can subscribe directly to esignal or through some brokers at subsidized rates or even free.

I think I've seen them laying cables around the neighbourhood.
Kinda late in the game:( People have been complaining about poor internet for years. That's what happens when you have familee monoplies squeezing $$$.

I wonder if it will make any difference now that we have so many extra millions of households & the explosive growth of data. Just have to look at the train services. Although they have added more train services, the trains are still crowded.
