easier money than driving taxi or licking papdogs smelly balls.

Dun act blurr, read your earlier post. You brought in a certain political party.

Why must YOU pretend to act blur about what goes on in Spore:confused:

The PAP IS the biggest landlord & employer in Spore. So tell me how NOT to bring in the PAP when discussing human trafficking in Spore:confused:

Making prostitution illegal is one of the dumbest idea in the list of dumb ideas. They still exist in just about every country in the world the only difference is whether it is openly recognized or not.

The only thing that making it illegal will do is encourage sex slavery and human trafficking, encouraging corruption among enforcers, allow the spread of STDs and allowing prostitutes to be abused.

Agree with your comments. Legalising what you cannot fully control is a viable option. Can't please everyone but what else can be done?

Singapore KTV also can tabao. After singing, you bring the girl and continue the singing session with her singing with your organic inbuilt mic.

That includes Lido, TAM and all the top joints. The two I mentioned has an added advantage. Very convenient for all involved. In the past, they even blocked-booked some hotel rooms for this 'extra' service and mamasans get a cut from these deals.

Prostitution is a lucrative money making industry..

Spot on bro. The most obedient chaps in the whole of our Geylang are the licensed pimps. They stand to lose their goldmine if they don't tow the line. About 15 years ago, a friend of mine who houses Thai gals, made about 30k a month. Too bad, kena AIDS and up lorry.

Legalizing what cannot be fully controlled cannot be the only viable option.
We see what is happening with loansharking and gambling.
Akan datang could be pornography and drugs...
That said I dun have a perfect solution for these...but then again that's not my job and I dun get paid millions to find a solution.

Wah Uncle GD, like that I want to become a pimp too.. :D

ours isn't legalising. there are brothels registered as companies in the US. there are no pimps. and they are not cheap. the idea is if you don't have transparency you will get illegals, the money goes to gangs and mobs. same with drugs. its old news

There is nothing to act blurr and I walk the talk by casting my vote during the GE and PE.

Point here is not about PAP, WP or SDP. Is about a political and non-political thread. Certain thread are totally non-political, so there is no need to bring in the SDP, PAP, WP or whatsoever Party.

Anti PAP or anti WP or anti SDP rants are fine. But to do it in all threads. Even those that are non-related?

Just like you need to eat rice, do you eat in the toilet?

Another point, people who are neutral does not imply that we are pro-PAP.

I am simply highlighting the connection between human trafficking & the PAP. Don't drag in the opposition because they very little input to the policies of the PAP.

The fact is that human trafficking is a hard reality in Spore.

Human trafficking in Singapore

According the US Government's Trafficking in Person's Report, Singapore is a destination country for women and girls trafficked for the purpose of labor and commercial sexual exploitation. Some women from India, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, and the People’s Republic of China who travel to Singapore voluntarily for prostitution or work are subsequently deceived or coerced into sexual servitude. A significant number of foreign domestic workers in Singapore faces the unlawful confiscation of their travel documents, restrictions on their movement, confinement, and/or physical or sexual abuse. Some Singaporean men travel to countries in the region for child sex tourism.

Also according the US Government's Trafficking in Person's Report, the Government of Singapore does not fully comply with the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking; however, it is making significant efforts to do so. In February, 2008 the government enacted amendments to the Penal Code that criminalize prostitution involving a minor under the age of 18, thereby ensuring that Singaporean law criminalizes all severe forms of trafficking in persons. The police adopted new training programs and procedures to familiarize officers with the new Penal Code offenses and to provide them with the skills to identify potential trafficking victims. Notably, the recent Penal Code amendments also extend extraterritorial jurisdiction over Singaporean citizens and permanent residents who sexually exploit children in other countries, and make organizing or promoting child sex tourism a criminal offense. At the same time, however, the government did not prosecute or convict any trafficking offenders during the reporting period, and did not take adequate measures to protect victims of trafficking, particularly foreign domestic workers subjected to forced labor conditions.[1]

Singapore

The Situation
Singapore is a destination country for human trafficking.

Destination
Singapore is a destination country for women and girls who are trafficked from Thailand, the Philippines, the People’s Republic of China, and Indonesia for commercial sexual and labor exploitation. Some women voluntarily migrate to Singapore to work as prostitutes but are later coerced into sexual servitude.1

The Singaporean Government
The Singaporean Government was placed in Tier 2 in the 2007 U.S. Department of State’s Trafficking in Persons Report for fully complying with the Trafficking Victims Protection Act’s minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking but was making significant efforts to do so.

Singapore does not have a law specific to anti-trafficking, however, it has many laws to prosecute, protect, and prevent human trafficking, specifically the Women’s Charter, the Children and Young Persons’ Act, and the Penal Code. The Penal Code criminalizes most forms of trafficking, but does not criminalize the use of 16 and 17 year old children used in prostitution. Laws used to criminalize labor trafficking include the Penal Code, the Employment Agency Rules, and the Employment of Foreign Workers Act. Penalties include imprisonment, and caning for any type of trafficking.2

Prosecution
In the first nine months of 2006, 23 employers were prosecuted and convicted for abusing their foreign domestic workers. In one case, an employer was sentenced to nine months in jail for scalding her maid and hitting her with a clothes hanger. In February 2007, an employer was sentenced to 21 months' imprisonment for physically abusing her domestic servant. In August 2006, a father and son were fined SGD 20,000 each after they pled guilty to failing to pay the salaries of workers at their now bankrupt construction firm.3

Protection
The Singaporean Government funds shelters and local NGOs, provides counseling, health care, physical security, and skills development programs for abused foreign domestic workers and victims of sexual exploitation. The Ministry of Manpower has a hotline for foreign domestic workers. Singapore does not provide legal alternatives to victims who face hardship or retribution in their home country. There have been no reports of trafficking victims who have been jailed or prosecuted.4

Prevention
The Singaporean government raises awareness of trafficking among its foreign domestic workers. The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) prints information on employees’ rights and police hotline numbers, and mails newsletters with information on workers’ rights and responsibilities to foreign domestic workers. MOM also began randomly interviewing domestic workers to determine their working conditions and knowledge of their employee rights.5

Recommendations
The U.S. Department of State recommends the Singaporean Parliament should approve proposed amendments to the Penal Code that would criminalize prostitution involving a minor under the age of 18, extend extra-territorial jurisdiction over Singaporean citizens and permanent residents who purchase or solicit sexual services from minors overseas, and make organizing or promoting child sex tours a criminal offense.6

I do not argue with you on Human trafficking in Singapore. Whether it is a PAP doing or not,
I do not defend for them or attack them.

But the point here is this thread is about whores in China, and what has it got to do with Singapore or PAP? Don't twist the point. You eat rice everyday and is the hard truth. Do you eat in the toilet or store room?

Anyway if you want to argue, just do it objectively. There is no need to ask me read official media. On the same note, I did not ask you to post in TRE or SDP Forum.

I am in a 3.5 star hotel in china now.. after a week, no chicken has knocked on my door ley...

But when I was at 新天地 a couple of months ago with an ang mor client, a couple of chickens kept pestering us as soon as we got off the cab.. Many pimps around too.

Hard to believe a 3.5 star hotel have no chicken but high class place like 新天地 is teeming with soliciting pimps and ho's.

Be careful of those tourists spots with pimps like Xian Tian Di in SH and San Li Tub in BJ. You are likely to fall into their trap and get extorted later. Also avoid all those 发廊

I always get cards slot under my door and calls at night if I stay in under 4 star hotel. However it is still safer to call chicken from these pimps than those from the tourists spots. You can also go to the spa (洗浴中心)if they have one in the hotel.

There was once when I went to Hang Zhou for a training and I stayed at the hotel where the training was held thinking that it will be more convenient. Turn out to be a lousy 3 star hotel but when I went to the spa on the 3rd floor, I was surprised by the top notch service there. The OKT even requested me to ass fark a new girl for her and gave me a RMB50 discount after I complete the mission :D

My point is that Spore condones human trafficking e.g. prostituition, exploitation of cheap labour, ..etc. These are the same things going on in China.
I am curious as to how am I suppose to argue "objectively" this simple fact
