In my opinion, human beings and the human race are scum. Please feel free to disagree, refute or comment.
Having said that, I have 2 comments to make.
1. Have you encountered any really good people amidst the scum?
I don't mean people who do volunteer work for their own benefits, politicians who take up government posts for power or money, religious leaders who claim to save souls and bring peace to people, but instead line their pockets, professionals who take every opportunity to make more money in the guise of carrying out their professional duties. These are probably the cream of the scum.
2. Since the human race are scum and not worth saving, preserving and continuing, does it mean that procreation is not important at all and the quest to save the environment for our "future generations" is not really that important. Not to say that believers in the concept should throw plastic bottles about or harm babies, but do we have any obligation within legal boundaries to "be green" or give up our seats to pregnant women, if we believe that the human race is scum?
