I ll stop being too extreme.. But from the day we have 2 casinos, we have witness more and more sins especially the corruptions coming from the top civil servants.. Whatever kind of corruptions only happen to the contstruction business, now it appear to the ministries and govt linked companies...

When the govt keep saying they are of highest integrity, we know they are lying because that is simply not possible especially in an organisation that view money as top priority..

Singapore confirmed is on the way down pass the peak .. Understood there are lawyers and rich businessmen who refinanced their house to trying to fight the casinos... Money first morality second is clearly reflected in our education system as well as society.. Tuitions center only accept good students is one another example..mind champ comes with PSLE guaranteed proograms is another examples on our strange education system.... We need to teach our kids the moral values rather than leave them to the Singapore education system..because they are more keen to teach them how to score in exams than real life value..

I guess that's the reason why we are all here, living in JB. we are all sick and tired of the ruling party. let's look forward to our new born again life here in JB

Bro, search under the first thread. I remember bro wuqi posted it before.

** Posted this in another thread too, apologies if its repetitive.. **

Has anyone rented their property out directly instead of going thru agents. Any samples of tenancy agreement (specific to Msia), or advice would be appreciated. If it's too sensitive to post here, please PM me.

Thank you.

Yes, living in JB is good escape from paying PAP non-stop for everything from sky high COE to property tax to utilities.

One wonders how many S'poreans can take the pledge seriously today... In the 80s I felt so proud of citing the SG pledge in school.

Me too, felt so happy spending weekends and school holidays participating in NDP practice and rehearsals then. Now only feel betrayal and anger, hear those songs I switch channel straight away.

Actually what is extreme? Isnt it a fact that we hear of their investment losses all the time, are there any winners that we heard of?

I think when foreigners make skewed comments or questions that dismiss or trivialise SG people concerns, we have the right to tell them off and we should not let them get away with such comments or questions.

Not forgetting this is an open forum, where foreigners can easily claim to be Singaporeans by using the word "us" when making such remarks or questions.

Hi Who-evere-you-are,
Why the need for the Adjective? It is uncalled for and biased-
proves a point:dosen't matter which bracket you fall in the 40/60 ration -Birds of the same feather flock together.

This remind me of the late Ching era where foreign empires came and have a piece of them.
In resturant, they have "dogs and Ching not allow to enter". Back then, the people were called "ching" which were an insult.

Look at the situation here, this is worst than foreign invasion. People are calling themselves "sinkie" and for many jobs, they are not hired to work.

You are right, this country has passed its peak. I wondered using an example of a cup, how much water can this cup filled, and once the cup is completely filled and water start to overflow, what will happened?

The Malaysian 'call-to-action' spirit must be respected as compared to Singaporeans' kiasi, kiasu, kialan attitude. I am a Singaporean and would be guilty of those labels too.

When Anwar was indicted, attorneys queued to represent him. I don't see the same happening when JBJ, Tang and CSJ were entangled with PAP suits.

Increasingly, the racial differences in Malaysia have dissipitated; with a more inclusive society and stronger social fabric coming together.

The 1 Malaysia thing seems to be working?

I bet if we have the same thing like 1 Singapore, it will be like 1 tiong, 1 abnn or 1 pinoy.

Being a non-Malaysian and a mere investor in Malaysian, I am not qualified to comment. But looking at the environment and seeing the images of Malaysians coming together at demonstrations like Bersih 3.0 and Lynas, I can feel the patriotism coursing through the veins.

On the other hand, Singapore seems to be moving further away from a common identity. First of all, the emphasis of ethnic group self help has compartmentalized the understanding of races. This is made worse by the recent influx of foreigners. It will greatly impact on us in the coming months and years.

Race is a sensitive matter. A dislike of a PRC may be easily misunderstood as anti-Chinese if uttered by other races. Likewise, any comments on an Indian foreigner will also create potential animosity.

Very sad, a poorly executed Government policy is turning the country divisive rather than towards a path of harmony.
