An accident involving a motorcycle and a lorry along Serangoon Road earlier today (Dec 2) left one person dead and two others injured.

Several Stompers shared with Stomp a video that was taken at the accident site

It shows a death tent, authorities and multiple police vehicles at the scene. An area had also been cordoned off and there was a large crowd.

In response to media queries by Stomp, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call for assistance at approximately 7.50pm and immediately dispatched resources to the scene.

One person was pronounced dead upon paramedics' arrival. Two others were sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, who had been alerted to be on standby to receive the victims.

Stomp has contacted the police for more info.

You go to Serangoon Road from Friday night to Sunday night & if you drive, it is a nightmare. You have to give credits to the BUS CAPTAINS that they have not killed an an neh one a day. They simply ignore the traffic & they waltz across the road, with no care at all...they think they are in India or Bangladesh.

They don't get knock down by a vehicle, I worry!

NEW YORK -- The scene outside a bar in Queens turned deadly after police say a driver barreled through a group of people early Sunday morning, killing at least one of them before fleeing the scene, CBS New York reports.

Witnesses said a group of people left a bar in Richmond Hill just before 4:30 a.m. when they spotted a man beating up another man on a sidewalk. Several people were yelling at the man to stop when witnesses say a car came barreling down the sidewalk and crashed into them before taking off.

"I saw a couple of kids, just fighting," neighbor Milagros Urbina said. "Suddenly I just see the white car driving through the sidewalk. They were screaming, it was crazy. There was screaming before the car started driving, by the sidewalk."

Police said the driver struck at least six people, one of whom was pronounced dead at the scene. The remaining five were rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where one was listed in critical condition early Sunday.

Two people were also stabbed in the preceding scuffle, according to police. They were also taken to Jamaica hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A New York Police Department detective said terrorism is not suspected, The Associated Press reported.

Police have not provided a description of the vehicle, but witnesses told CBS New York the driver who fled the scene has a ponytail.

Authorities said one person is in custody. It wasn't immediately clear if the arrest was in connection with the stabbing or the crash.

The investigation was ongoing early Sunday.
