even if she does take the stand as prosecution witness, the prosecution has a very steep uphill to prove that all 44 had intercourse with her. simply bcos she was advertised as "escort", not "prostitute".

the calls/ sms are evidences that the men may have contacted the girl, perhaps some could be naughty messages initiating more than companionship. however, nothing can prove that they had intercourse in the privacy of the hotel room.

besides, as the website has shown, she was advertised as 18yrs old. hence, the crime backfires on her (or the pimp) for falseful declaration of age & prostituting herself while being underaged.

Am I the only person who thinks the judiciary system has gone overboard by publishing the full names of the defendants?

They have been arrested, will be charged and duly punished by the law. Why ruin their lives?

correction! the 44 or more have been charged in court, but the trial hasnt concluded... they are not found guilty yet.

and given the facts so far, i've a good feeling that they may all be acquitted due to lack of evidence... except for that principal who already admitted to the charges.

i'm hoping that when they're all acquitted, they can combine a mega upsized civil suit to sue the press for all it's worth.

That's not true. The Act which they are being charged under does not require evidence that the sexual encounter took place. All that is required is evidence of communications of the commerical transaction.
