Sony phones have good display qualities - sharp n good contrast. Xperia was one of the best phone to stream HD videos to TV (Sony Bravia) a few years ago.

but their phone camera are very very much lousier than samsung n Iphone
since IPhone 4S, Iphone's camera should be considered the bestest during their era.

Now even Iphone 6 continues to emphasize on camera sensor technology

Don't think angmoh that smart anymore, more likely China made the phone first and take angmoh branding to make it popular first.

Sony R&D its own camera sensors. I think the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is carrying a Sony camera sensor.

Megapixels is not everything. It just gives more detail in enlargments without necessarily producing great pics.

iPhone pictures (8 MP) trump Android phones with 13 MP for a few reasons:

1. Larger image sensor. 1/3" – same as the HTC One (M8). Gives much better low-light rendition than most high-end Androids.
2. Larger aperture - allows faster shutter speed in low-light conditions, less camera shake
3. True Tone flash which gives more natural skin tones than the traditional LED or xenon flash used in other phones.
4. Better lens quality. iPhone 6 will have a scratch-proof sapphire lens.



HTC One M8 gives better low-light pictures than the iPhone due to its large sensor and ultra-pixel technology, but pictures are grainy because of its 4 MP resolution. In very bright light conditions, of course cameras with 13 MP (Xperia Z) or 16 MP (Galaxy S5) would have a superior level of detail to the iPhone, but skin tones are still less natural. Samsung phones have the worst skin tones because their AMOLED screen over-saturates green/blue and distorts colours.

yup brother-in-law using HTC one, actually also lose to Iphone camera.
Yup high MP might be grainy if the phone is lousy.

I think if want to take good picture, dun depend on the camera of a mobile phone, iphone or samsung or what....

Always carry a camera with you.....especially one that has at least 20x zoom....

Mobile phone cameras are for stealing shots without the other party knowing and down-blouse or upskirts.....
