Inexcusable. Lifts are inspected yearly. There should be an investigation and vendor doing the inspection should be heavily fined and prevented from doing usch service for the next few years.

What about the rest of the lifts that were inspected by this firm.

It's getting pretty scary for people living in Spore. With the threat of floods, dengue, trains breaking down & now lifts falling, no one is safe

Not even the PAP. I remember reading about some elite getting dengue

PAP kept making them pay through their nose and this is the outcome we get. Obviously, this ruling party has not only lost its moral ground but also give us plenty of craps to bear.

The reason:

"It is no longer a requirement for a certificate of maintenance to be displayed in the lift car. [NAME OF TOWN COUNCIL] Town Council will continue to ensure that the lift is properly maintained."

Skimping on maintenance, just like they did with public transport.
If you don't believe me, look at the lifts in your HDB neighbourhood. There are no more routine, periodic checks done by technicians. A repairman is only called when the lift is spoilt.

I think not only is it necessary to buy insurance for taking public transport, even a lift ride needs life insurance these days.

Pinky's turf seems to be one of the worst managed GRCs in Sinkieland. Pathetic, really

Together with his Dad's ward too..go see for yrself - litter everywhere on kerbs and footpaths, drains clogged with fallen leaves and rubbish, uncut untrimmed grass on road side..you name it they have it.
