Don't you know that Goh CT was misquoted? He meant that S'poreans would get to experience only the Swiss Cost of Living.Malays were promised Swiss standards. That means steak and roast chicken.

GCB type of prisons are only reserved for convicted PAP ministers like Iswaran. The cell size and individual toilet facility for 1 prisoner here in Changi can actually house 1 family in Hong Kong now .... complain it small and simple for a prisoner cell, the weedio commentor want prisoners be housed in 5-star hotel with swimming pools and tennis court with Taxpayers money? The prisoners serving there committed crimes and are leech to our hardearn taxed money doing nothing but eat, sleep, shit in there as a "punishment". What more can do you make taxpayers suffer on these group of peoples wrong doings?![]()
I heard about ex-convicts who committed suicide following their release because the outside world became a scary and unfamiliar place after decades behind bars. They long for the safety and security of life in prison where all their needs were catered for; they had a roof over their heads and 3 meals a day, which are not guaranteed in the real world.many of these inmates are social misfits and they actually prefer to stay in changi hotel where all their basic needs are taken care of and daily routines planned out for them. some whole families even stay there for good due to the good life they enjoy there. if beds, pillows, aircon are provided I think we will need a lot more changi hotels to accommodate the demand
exactly. many druggies and petty criminals continue with their habits so they can continue their secure lifestyle in gated accommodationI heard about ex-convicts who committed suicide following their release because the outside world became a scary and unfamiliar place after decades behind bars. Yes sad but true. Compared to outside some are homeless can’t even get a shower or place to sleep no secure 3 meals and medical care. Inside prison get all for free. Also got company. Some prefer inside too as outside they get hounded by loansharks and whatnot.exactly. many druggies and petty criminals continue with their habits so they can continue their secure lifestyle in gated accommodation
They live in solitary confinement. Cannot socialise. No phones to surf the web. No books or papers to read. Eventually ended up demented. That's why it's a violation of UN Human Rights convention.Yes sad but true. Compared to outside some are homeless can’t even get a shower or place to sleep no secure 3 meals and medical care. They rather send tens of millions of dollars to Hamas terrorists than spend in our localsAt least they can request for air con and hot shower. No communal dining so no social interaction. It's life in confinement.
Perhaps the Malays inmates can apply to be cellmates with Iswaran at his GCB. Their yard time will include swimming in his pool and working out at his gym.https://widerimage.reuters.com/story/south-koreans-lock-themselves-up-to-escape-prison-of-daily-life
Locking them up is to stop them of the freedom. At least give them decent living in a cell like Korea if not better. They are still a human being.
This can only mean that SG Malays realise that their brethren are living in the lap of luxury compared to the Hamas terrorists who cower in fear as the IDF hunts them down for murdering, raping and kidnapping Israeli civilians. They rather send tens of millions of dollars to Hamas terrorists than spend in our locals
Ask the govt if Malay inmates may live with Iswaran's family in their GCB for the duration of their sentence. They live in solitary confinement. Cannot socialise. No phones to surf the web. not true. they do hv time for games/socialising and books too. those who wish to pursue their studies are also allowed to. the only downside is the uncomfortable living conditions - a thin straw mat and thin blanket plus having to sleep next to the toilet areaThey live in solitary confinement. How long did you have to live like that?not true. they do hv time for games/socialising and books too. those who wish to pursue their studies are also allowed to. the only downside is the uncomfortable living conditions - a thin straw mat and thin blanket plus having to sleep next to the toilet area
excuse me??How long did you have to live like that?
It is. But what to do? Here subscribed to harsh condition. Then if ask for better environment, the party will say taxpayers need to top up...Blah. totally not able to improve keeping budget or trim wastages. They live in solitary confinement. At least Israeli jail treat the Palestinian better and more humane than Changi inmates. Got nice comfortable bed some more
