Do you think that life is getting harder in singapore, especially for the singaporean man? Not the rich businessman, top corporate executives, the ministars and their top henchmen and friends and family, but the ordinary working guy.

Do the old timers from the delphi forum remember this fellow forummer called Psycho107?
He used to boast that he was so lucky in love, married to a foreign woman (I think she was Korean) and kept telling stories about their wonderful life. One day, he came into the forum and revealed that she was having an affair with another man. Don't know what happened to him after that.

There was another guy from this forum, I think his nick was Kobe.
He told the story of how his wife cheated on him with another man, whom I think he said was a military guy.

I have been reading another thread in the sammyboy sexforum, entltled "Local Girls", where some guys posted about how high handed local girls have become.

Things are getting more expensive, harder to get better jobs and higher pay, women are getting more high handed, responsible for elderly parents and young children and in some cases, wife, less and less space due to over-population, the list goes on and on. Some of you could probably add to the list. If you happen to divorce your wife or have problems with her, even if it's her fault, you are still responsible for her and the kids and the women are protected by the charter.

The rich and powerful as mentioned above still lead very comfortable lives. But the average guy will continue to slog and suffer.

Do you guys agree? How should we deal with this?

......How should we deal with this?

Yes. Not just Sg. The whole world.

Alternatives will vary from country to country. Check out "The Great Turning." by David Korten. It may not workable everywhere, but some people are doing something about it, albeit a bit late.

Cheers!

so you think your life is difficult!

life is tough for me in whatever aspects. I think that you think and worry too much and that's the problem.

My wife left me when I need her the most. End up losing my job,my flat,in debt.

The career I enjoyed doing has been thwarted by a bastard son of age 34 year old, name Ho Kum Hean,Last known work Place Singapore Technologies Electronics. His father is ISD related. He is acting as a corporate SS there.
Besides his father's backing, I can't think of his any good during my stint there.
Have you guys working in GLC or Stat board been betrayed and wrongly accused of by such "capable" people?

I always tell myself that if i see him on the streets,i assure you blood will shed.

of course, during the peak of singapore, when investor around the world pump in money in singapore, life is better. but when it get too expensive and investment risky, they withdraw their investment and we never really recover from 1997. thanks to the thai.

be rich and powerful..simple as that.

Ofcourse its getting harder, and every dollar earned failed to bring the original amount of material comfort like it used to. The Sing dollar shrink so fast the 1 Dollar coin start to look like 5 cent ones.

No thanks to the PAP, fuckers aim too high and didn't factor in the majority of the citizen can't keep up with the pace. KNN my high paying job start to look like cheap labour.

With shit rising at this pace, I'll have to sell my Merc and get a Suzuki or something, then change my forum nick to CheapFCar.

I think it's worse in SG than in many other countries, mainly because of the charter, the influx of foreigners and the way some policies have been structured.
However, it's not a time to bow down or give up.
There will always be certain people who abuse their power and authority or who behave in a high handed and condescending manner towards those they think are of lower social status than them.
The way to deal with these arseholes is to treat them with disdain and scorn. But in order to achieve that, we have to put aside some of our wants, motivation and desires.

be rich and powerful..simple as that.
Not everyone can be rich and powerful.
And it's important to be both very rich and very powerful, as some people have found out.
Being rich can give a person a luxurious life and the means to flirt around, and being powerful can give some access to the flirting, but he would have to be very powerful to keep the stories out of the newspapers.

I don't think they minded, as long as they themselves, their friends, their comrade and their family kept up.
It's time that we started treating some of these high handed people especially those who throw their weight around, with scorn and disdain, and replace them with people who are willing to work for the people and help the really needy.

Got a Mercedes still complaining. Are you going to be one of those who will try to cheat on a 50 cents parking coupon - the parking attendant auntie used to say?

Gahment will suggest that you down grade from a 5-room flat to a 4-room flat, and from a 4-room flat to a 3-room flat.

For many of us, life is going to be a struggle - we just simply can't stand still or give up but to work harder just to keep up with the cost of living within Singapore. Time is money; even your car sitting on the roadside is paying by the minutes.

Someone here suggested an alternative - uproot and live in JB where cost of living is much, much lower but still retain your job here in Singapore which pay much, much higher. Just bear with the inconveniences and inefficiencies and the yo-yo policies up north. It may be a good trade-off.

hey...why no one "hue" me about what I said.

Balless Sinkie like you, fellow balless Sinkie won't fuck care (hue).

You have always been whinning, so what's new?

Maybe you should put on a black shirt against what is WHITE here ( the Thai uses RED shirt) and lead a mass protest!

Boy! will that make a huge difference!:D

hey...why no one "hue" me about what I said.

That is because everyone gets side-tracked by your inviting avatar :D

Tough luck bro. All the same, best to focus on turning your life around. Don't let this sort of people bring you down. Does you no good. Also do take care of your health that is also important.

many thanks! Frankly, I am trying to lure him in here to post his comments. I once saw this bastard surfing Sammyboy in his office. So if he read this, hope he know what he has done to his friend(enemy now). I wanted to catch him so that I can sue him. If i can't, I will fight him physically.

Because you are self centered and almost every topic will sooner or later return to you being the ultimate victim. Come on bro, We're all suffering here (well, most I guess). I may be enjoying life now, but who knows tomorrow I go back office, the boss might announce that I'll be replaced by a FT?

We can't compare who got lesser coins in our pocket to emerge as the most poor thing on the forum, we're in the same boat, the slightly well off, the borderline, and the living hand to mouth citizen that makes up most of the population here.

I sincerely hope you get your chance to get back at that Ho Kum Hean guy if he really did went wrong by you. What Singapore need is a law to allow people to go into a ring to duel out their differences; and I'll be taking side bets :D

Why waste energy like this? I doubt he even cares. Let it go brother. There is more to life. Best revenge is to live a better life than these people. Dwelling on the past gets you nowhere.
