I thought only hugo chavez makes multiple hour long speeches. Speeches should be short to save time.

He didn't trust Tharman, so he quickly make it clear the Ah Heng will be back to work soon and stop resting at home and Lawrence Wong as backup plan in case Heng collapses. It might also be a ploy to shift our focus on the finance minister while glooming Kee Chiu. When the time come, LHL will ask Chan to Kee Chiu again and appoint him as our PM.
