Yes, he is the one. He also the first and only ISD boss to reveal his position publicly. Engaged the Malay community directly on religious issues. I too was surprised that Peter was retiring. I won't be surprised that he wants to build bridges outside of civil service before his mentor gives up the throne. Many are eyeing Lim Siong Guan's position in GIC.

If you want to be a true follower, you have to check whatever wealth and social status you have achieved in the secular world at the door when you step into church every Sunday. You have to avoid seeking leadership positions in church and learn to serve in low humble positions where no one knows who you are.

If you want to be a true follower, you have to check whatever wealth and social status you have achieved in the secular world at the door when you step into church every Sunday. You have to avoid seeking leadership positions in church and learn to serve in low humble positions where no one knows who you are.

It is true that humility is an essential attribute of a true Christian. However pretending to be an unknown when everybody knows you is false humility. True humility would be putting people at ease and being genuine. It is what is in the heart that counts. Yes , within church everybody is equal and nobody should aim to be one up. Pride is one of the greatest of sins and a common cause of spiritual death.
Note that the so called elite group does not seek publicity nor do members seek aggrandizement nor more fame. It is to get things done. Large amorphous groups will achieve nothing.

Man cannot see this but God sees this all too clearly. Your service in church is essentially an offering to him. He will judge whether it is acceptable or not in the same way he judged the offerings of Cain and Abel.

If you read through the bible, God has never chosen special elite groups to get things done. He has instead always worked through the humble and the unworthy.
