AMD chips have been made in Malaysia for a long time, even back in the Athlon days when it was still playing catchup with Intel chips.
Anyway, Intel and AMD are fucked. x86 will be emulated in future. Qualcomm will compete with Samsung-Microsoft-AMD on the Windows side, and Apple has its own Apple Silicon chips. TSMC-made ARM chips.
