And now, we have FT praising lift upgrading .....did these people understand what was going on ?
You people may realise that many small blocks of flats look very aweful with 7 to 8 lifts serving one block....ridiculous, of course, maintenance funds may also go up(you people call HDB conservancy fees).
Besides, you can figure out that views from flats are blocked becos most lift upgrading is protruded out from the main facade. Not only that, sunshine and wind may also get blocked thus making the rooms hotter and dimmer without the lights on.
Lift upgrading transforms HDB pigeon holes into like URA factories !!! No joke, just gawk and think about it!
And some more, lift upgrading becomes a vogue during elections, what a mass stupidity !
I hope Alternative parties bring up this issue and perhaps request for inquiry into why lifts were built like that in the past.
Recall all contractors and subordinates working under late Ah Teh and investigates the issue meticulously. I think some may be still alive in singapore.
If lift not stopping at every floor was a past oversight or for other wrong reasons, HDB must apologise and install lifts for free.
Alternative parties should educate the voters on the issue and press for the right action.
Voters need to know the truth and not just vote for lift upgrading !
God bless all alternative parties and members ! May the force be with you !
