The name Hsieh Lingling may not be familiar to many these days, but the former Taiwanese actress, 65, used to have a very successful showbiz career as a child star, winning two Golden Horse Awards for Best Child Performer — a category that has since been discontinued — in 1966 and 1967.
Although she continued to have a smooth-sailing career into adulthood, she left it all behind when she wed Hongkong billionaire Peter Lam, 64, in 1980.
The couple went on to have five children together, but their marriage came to an end in 1995 after Peter’s infamous affair with erstwhile screen siren Joey Wong, 54.

After their divorce, Peter was said to have paid HK$400mil (S$69.3mil) in alimony to Lingling, who then used it to invest in real estate, acquiring property in Hongkong, Suzhou, and Shanghai.
However, her house-collecting habit started way earlier. According to reports, Lingling bought a 557 sqm luxury bungalow in Kowloon Tong — one of the most expensive residential districts in Hongkong — for HK$4mil (S$693,000) in 1988, and its value has now soared hundredfold to HK$400mil (S$69.3mil).
And if you’re wondering what such a posh-sounding pad looks like, Lingling offers little glimpses of her home on Instagram whenever she posts about gatherings with her family and friends.

As seen from the pics, Lingling’s crib is super lavishly decorated with lots of framed paintings, crystal chandeliers, and opulent furniture that must’ve cost a bomb (seriously, just look at that dining table).
The mansion also appears to be at least three storeys high, judging from the fact that the dining area is one floor above what appears to be the living room, and there is another flight of stairs leading up to another level.

8 of 9Wonder how much everything in those cabinets behind is worth
9 of 9Hope she shows off the upstairs area one day
