I hope the murderer will be caught only AFTER seven days. It will embarrass the police.

Identity of accused already known but likely to have chaboked liao. Not difficult to solve such murder cases committed by person(s) known to deceased.

Re: Kovan double murder: Suspects can't hide for long, say experts

By now they would have already know who is behind this..the house have CCTV, even outside the gate..see the CCTV...the neighbor saw..they have maid or maids in the house..the ang mo char bor saw...

Just check handphone records and SMSes kau liao. Murderer was no stranger to victim. Makes it easier to solve.

SIS/CID won half the battle. They have already IDed the suspect. Problem is, where to find him? My bet is suspect is either in S'pore or outside S'pore! Sounds familiar?

If the suspect is using a smart phone then it's easy to trace his hiding

Imo, suspect is not likely to be carrying his old handphone. Criminals are intelligent, most of the time.

Not sure bro. They must have their reasons. Suspect is closely 'connected' to deceased persons.

Case of OM. If go to court, Commander of Tanglin molested victim at Shang which falls under Tanglin Police. When case was reported, instruction was NOT to arrest, no handcuffs etc. Better for him to resign quietly and let the matter rest than have publicity on an OMS. He was already on-board for DAC promotion.

No problem. My pleasure. Paul was a bomb waiting to explode when he joined the SPF. I am puzzled it took so long! Bomb would have exploded a decade earlier but case was well covered up coz he was a scholar. So much for integrity.

Let me guess the reasons behind the killing..

Err....

It's all about MONEY of course, what else is new about the freaking Chink race!

No thanks to the great leader for leading the pack of money faced Chink! LOL

Could be a crime of passion too. Some men take it very personally when you shag their woman (not necessarily wife).

Kovan murder suspect arrested!

A 34-year-old man has been arrested on 12 July 2013 at about 11.30pm in connection with the double murders at Kovan on 10 July 2013. The arrest of the suspect was possible through the close collaboration between the Singapore Police Force (SPF) and the Royal Malaysian Police (RMP). The SPF would like to thank the RMP for their unwavering support and assistance in this case.

SINGAPORE - Public safety has not been compromised, the police said in a statement on the double murders in Kovan, on Thursday, July 11.

On Wednesday, July 10, Mr Tan Boon Sin, 67, and his 42-year-old son were found murdered.

Mr Tan was discovered in his home in Hillside Drive, near Upper Serangoon Road while the body of his son, 42, was found earlier about 1km away outside Kovan MRT station.

According to eyewitnesses a Toyota Camry had dragged the body of the younger Mr Tan along Upper Serangoon Road before the body was dislodged.

The police added that public should refrain from making unfounded speculation as this could cause undue alarm and additional distress to the loved ones of the deceased persons.

The police also said that they are unable to comment any further as investigations are ongoing. They are also examining all evidences, including witnesses' accounts.
