美中貿易大戰是全球關注的議題，美國總統川普與中國國家主席習近平在G20峰會中舉行的「川習會」稍早落幕，白宮發言人桑德斯（Sarah Sanders）發表聲明表示，美中經雙方談判，美國同意暫不擴大課稅的時效為90日，但屆時若無法達成協議，10%的關稅仍可能升至25%。
白宮表示，美國同意明年1月1日起，價值兩千億美元的產品關稅保在10%，暫時不會增加到25%，中國也同意從美國購買大量的農業，能源，工業和其他產品，以降低美中兩國間貿易不平等狀態，購買的具體數量目前尚未決定。

川普和習近平還達成共識，立即展開談判，談判內容包含強制技術轉讓，知識產權保護，非關稅壁壘，網路攻擊和網路竊取等。美中雙方同意，爭取在90天內完成談判，但如果到期仍無法達成協議，則10%的關稅將升至25%。
美國總統在白宮聲明中表示，「這是一個很棒的、很有成果的會議，對美國和中國都有無限的可能性，能和習主席一起工作，我很榮幸。」

To give USA 25 simultaneous Pearl Harbors today, PLA only need less than 30 mins. Firing DF missiles just directly from their own bases in China. Need no movement of troops. Don't even need to move a single warship nor take off a single aircraft.
