Kenny Rogers, country music legend, dies aged 81

Country music legend Kenny Rogers who had a series of hits, including Coward of the County and The Gambler, has died at the age of 81.

The star "passed away peacefully at home from natural causes under the care of hospice and surrounded by his family", his representative said in a statement.

Rogers, who also enjoyed success in partnership with Dolly Parton, had announced a farewell tour in 2015 but had continued performing until 2017.

"The Rogers family is sad to announce that Kenny Rogers passed away last night at 10.25pm," his family said in a statement on Saturday. "Rogers passed away peacefully at home from natural causes under the care of hospice and surrounded by his family."
The family said it was planning a small private service at this time "out of concern for the national COVID-19 emergency", adding that they looked forward to celebrating Mr Rogers' life publicly with his friends and fans at a later date.
In a career that spanned more than six decades, Rogers' famous songs included The Gambler, Lady, Islands In The Stream, Lucille, She Believes In Me, and Through the Years.
Rogers, with twenty-four number-one hits, was a Country Music Hall of Fame member, six-time CMA Awards winner, three-time GRAMMY Award winner, recipient of the CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013, CMT Artist of a Lifetime Award honoree in 2015 and has been voted the Favourite Singer of All Time in a joint poll by readers of both USA Today and People.

As a vegetarian I find your statement extremely offensive and hurtful and I'm sure there is some law in Singapore that criminalises the offending of large portions of Singapore society viz those that refrain from eating meat either for religious reasons or as a matter of principle.

Yes Kenny Rogers restaurant is still at Genting Highlands, not at the summit where the hotels are, but at mountain's midpoint, next to the golf course and cable car station.

The summit has lots of atas restaurants and bars after the renovation.
