The prosperity of jiuhu was there since the 1950s and 60s. The British colonial government in Malaya and Singapore were more competent here than they were in India, or compared to French, Dutch or Spanish colonial rule.

Najib was blindsighted by that witch wife of his as well as that evil Penangite Jho Lo. Otherwise, he's not a bad ruler. Greed eventually got over him from the bad influence from Jho Lo. Blame it on that Malaysian Chinese.

Mamak Kutty was too arrogant throughout his rule. He wanted to have the tallest building in Asia (the Twin Towers) at that time and the largest airport (KLIA) in Asia. All these require lots of money, but do they benefitted the country in the end? No. The Twin Towers were dwarfed within a year or two by China, the KLIA was very much under-utilized and a waste of money. The worst was still holding on to a firm like PROTON rather than to sell it off. PROTON has been unable to innovate and improve on its R&D because it's not an International brand and lack the monetary resources. Instead it drained the government's coffers for years and even more years to come had it not been sold to GEELY by Jib Gor. Mamak Kutty is a man of selfishness and greed. It was even Mamak Kutty who bars new Chinese from Mainland China to buy those condos in Forest City and Country Gardens (or even on the whole of Malaysia) and even put new terms and conditions (restrictions) to their MM2H applications. Blame all of these on that evil Mamak Kutty.
